The Fiat Coupé fits squarely in the center of one of our favorite categories of European cars, but we don't really have a good name for it. The Audi TT, Alfa Romeo Brera, and to some extent, the BMW Z3 all join the Coupé in a group of small coupes and roadsters that place a major emphasis on style without feeling a need to maximize performance.
We've said it before, and we think it bears repeating: most driving on the street is substantially below the grip limit of a given vehicle, and most street driving inputs do not require perfect body control or steering feel. A car designed to perform well in everyday driving can be more satisfying to drive on the street than a car set up for ultimate performance. So, we really find nothing wrong with these styling statement coupes, where some turbo lag and uncontrolled body motion might accompany more aggressive driving.

Take a seat behind the wheel of a secondhand Coupe and any keen driver is bound to be hooked. Not just by its performance, but also by the fact that it makes such a great classic car buy.Things that i know of that need attention is Sunroof open electric off and on, AC was working but now blow just air (might be Freon or connection)
This example is powered by the base 2.0L twin cam unit, though a boosted version of this engine, borrowed from the Lancia Delta Integrale, was also available, as well as some 5-cylinder offerings. For the sake of simplicity, this is the engine we would be most likely to seek. The seller notes that the air-conditioning is not functioning, and that there is an issue with the sunroof.
We'd enjoy having one of these around just to have the chance to look at it in the garage. It's a car of occasion, as Peter Egan once put it, with a spirit to it that outweighs the sum of its parts. The pricing here is opportunistic, especially considering the issues reported, so we think that some price research is necessary before making an offer. We see these as a good buy at around $6,000 to $8,000 for a solid example. If the seller is willing to accept reasonable offers, this could make for a stylish addition to the weekend fleet.
