The Berlina was introduced in 1968, 6 years into the Giulia's run. It was offered alongside its short-wheelbase sibling until 1977. Mechanically very similar, the Berlina sports more staid styling in comparison to the creases and bulges on the Giulia. All things equal, we'd take a Giulia over a Berlina anyway, but the reality is that a good Berlina fetches far less money than a Gulia in similar shape.

This 1972 Alfa Romeo Berlina 2.0 is an original with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.
This car looks to be in presentable shape. The seller has thankfully included some underbody shots, and we like what we see. Clearly, some of the components have been spray painted, for better or worse. Interior work could be better. The engine bay is very tidy, although we can't tell if it's overspray that we see where the heater hose meets the firewall or if it's our eyes deceiving us. It would seem that the car has been repainted, and that begs quite a few questions, but could be a positive if the bodywork was done properly.
We really like the Berlinas for their relative obscurity in the Alfa world, even if the reason for that is because nobody cared for them enough to keep them on the road. Parts availability, as far as mechanicals go, is impressive, so any Berlina you can find in reasonable shape today is probably worth getting back on the road. And in what we believe to be Verde Pino, this Berlina is quite attractive.
