Very well done for getting back into the derivr’s seat and getting back onto the motorway!! May this be the first of many motorway journeys and personal achievements.I don’t drive never have. Failed my test twice and knew exactly why each time; I have absolutely NO common sense when it comes to driving. I have been a Ward Sister, in charge of a very busy 32 bedded surgical ward. I have traveled accross Europe on my own by train. But I have always intrinsically known that me behind the wheel of a car would one day spell disaster either for myself, or some innocent passenger/pedestrian. Yet in reality this instict could be base-less. I was 17 last time I was behind the wheel, and a lifetime of experiences and decision making has happened since then. What I could be doing by giving into this instinct is denying myself the independence and joy of going on trips I’m not taking because I don’t drive. It’s a hard one to call.J.S was clearly a very intuitive man, having built up a clearly successful business over the years, but I too truly TRULY wish J.S had heeded your warning on that day P.G.
